Man Struggles To Eat Queso

This picture always makes me hungry for queso, kind of. Somebody hand John a napkin.

Wet Dogs

Bubba and Pearl take a rest after swimming in White Rock Lake. This was pre-medication Bubba so he really needed the rest. Now, he could probably swim across the lake or throw a football over them mountains.

Pinball Reflection

I really dig the flash reflection on the wall.

Litterbug

If you lost your condom wrapper on a trail in Hot Springs, Arkansas I found it.

Knife Fight In Lakewood

That must have been one good margarita. I wouldn't know because Ashley threatened my life if I touched her schooner.

Uptown Run

We conquered the Uptown 5 Mile Run in just under one hour. Not bad for two people who have never run five miles without walking. Speaking of walking, it's been problematic since race day.

Good Times

This sure does look like fun. It sounded like a good idea until we arrived at Lower Greenville.

Nice shirt

He is willing to sacrifice to save horses. Are you?

Chief and Cruisin' Susan Are Livin'

Very lovely people we meet during the SMU party day otherwise known as The Greenville St. Patty's Day Block Party. Meeting Chris and Susan was the highlight of the day.

Please Place Trash In Receptacle

Lower Greenville takes one for the team.

Distance

I've found that crappy golf balls make useful props. My caddie forced me into buying her beers after my near hole-in-one on #6 at Tenison Glen.

The Hitchhiker

I picked up a thumb jockey and her behavior was quite erratic.

Meatloaf

This meatloaf looks absolutely disgusting but tasted like a slice of heaven.

Bubba Signing His Official Adoption Papers

I drew up some documents to adopt the pups. They signed their consent with their paw prints. They're now Bubba Lee Hale and Pearl Lee Hale.

My Beer Fetish Continues

Ashley and I enjoyed these Spaten brews from the Brau Haus.

Country Breakfast

The Country Breakfast includes two pancakes, two eggs, one hash brown, one biscuit with gravy, and three pieces of bacon. And honey, how did you want those eggs cooked?

Strength Is The Word

Proud To Be An American

When I think of this moment, I think of Lee Greenwood and his words that were so tender to my heart.

Stretch

The west mountain in Hot Springs made me want to stretch my hamstrings.

Ashley Gets Into The Centipede Top 8

There's three things I love dearly in this life. These three things are beer, my new husband, and the game Centipede. It's rare you find a Centipede machine around these days but when you do, you feel like you've struck gold. Gold, I say.--Ashley Hale

Love is...

Feels Good

I've never felt cleaner or happier.

Bathhouse Needle Shower

You know, nothing is more relaxing than taking a nice warm bath or shower. Feeling the warm needle water, looking at the chrome faucets and pipes, wondering if you might be electrocuted by all the chrome gadgets. Ahh, relaxation indeed.

Mark 1924

The Arlington Hotel was built in 1924. The furniture and atmosphere were vintage. Mark looks dreamy in this picture, minus the Outback ad on the back page. --Ashley Hale

Marine Technician On Duty

On the way to Hot Springs, Ashley saw this sign and made the comment, "I feel a lot safer taking my car to a Marine. I'm sure I won't get screwed there." I asked her to say it again just to make sure I heard her correctly. I had to inform her that a Marine Technician works on boats. This is why I love her so much.

Knocked Out Bride

Ashley takes a little nap on the drive back from Hot Springs.

March 3, 2006

We met each other sixteen years ago in high school and on March 3, 2006 we were married. We were married by Judge Cercone, Justice of the Peace. Ashley's friend, Melissa Whitehead, took most of these lovely photos. Melissa, thank you so much for being there for us.

After the ceremony we went to my brother, Tommy's house. We spent many evenings on Tommy's porch last July. We then went to The Old Monk, where we met again in June of last year for some beers. From that moment in June, at The Old Monk, I think we both knew that this was it.
